About Me

MQX, Jodi Robinson

Hi!  My name is Jodi Robinson.  I have been quilting for about 24 years, and have been Longarm quilting for 20 years.  I was so honored to recently join the Gammill family as a Gammill Quilt Artist! I have been teaching at national shows across the country for the past 12 years, and have won numerous national awards for my machine quilting skills over the years. Most recently, I was awarded the Outstanding Modern Quilt Award at the 2015 Road to California show, Best Longarm Machine Workmanship in Modern Quilts at the 2015 Pacific International Quilt festival, and Best Modern Quilt at multiple AQS Shows in 2014. In addition to teaching, I design pantograph patterns, have self-published nine machine quilting design books, and provide professional longarm quilting services to my clients. My books and classes focus on teaching easy methods to create beautiful, freehand machine quilting designs that will personalize, and make your quilting unique.

I am currently awaiting the release of my first book with co-authors Eva Birch and Nancy Gano.  “Applique for Modern Beginners” is being published by AQS Publications, and will be available in late July 2016.

I live in the small town of Enon Valley in Western Pennsylvania (near the PA/OH line) with my husband Gary and our Doberman Zeke.  When I’m not quilting (which is NOT very often, lol), my hobby is quad riding, and I love to get out into the wood to ride as often as possible.

  1. Hi,
Hope you remember me from high school. It was sooo long ago.
Cara Fisher just sent me your web site. so cool.
I started reading Quilting Arts magazine about a year ago and bought a sewing machine.

I have done some fabric dying, just with rit dye and my kids helped. our clothes line pics don’t look near as good as yours.

all the quilt shops here, still in SV school district, are traditional.

I have been trying to form an art group here. Not just quilters because I seem to not be able to find any other person interedsted in art quilts. Then again I’m a hermit.

As I’ve been trying to find people interest in forming a group, I kept thinking, please let me find some one interested in quilting.

I just gave you site a quick look need to go back over it.

I hope you have time to drop me a line.
I am over the moon to find some one else with these interests.

I live outside of Evans City. Husband, kids, dog and cats. Small house makes quilting a challenge. I like small art projects. would love try long arm. I know a woman who teaches long arm and rents her machine. so far have not tried it out.

I really hope to hear from you if you have a spare minute.
